Three are the types of training events organized by EELA-2 where application developers can get to know how to interface his/her applications to the EELA-2 Grid services.
Grid Schools
Grid Schools are closed retreats of 1-2 weeks where application experts work in close collaboration with tutors to interface their applications with the grid middleware. Such events already proved to be very effective in the previous EELA project, where 13 applications were successfully ported to the EELA grid infrastructure during the first two schools. Below you can watch a video about the First EELA Grid School.

Gridification Weeks
To speed up the process of application porting, EELA-2 has reserved funds to financially support on-demand application-specific courses. It consists of organising one-week face-to-face meetings between application developers and "Grid experts". Such customised courses - also called "Gridification weeks" - are aimed at dealing with the requirements that need to be met in order to "gridify" an application.
All applications supported by EELA-2 and not yet deployed on the EELA-2 production infrastructure are eligible for participating in such courses.
The NA3 management is in charge of evaluating the requests from the application owners or even proactively invite some application developers to take part of such Gridification Weeks.

Tutorials
The EELA-2 tutorials are the best way to be introduced to the gLite midleware services. Take a look on the Tutorial's agenda page to check if any tutorial is foreseen in your country. The presentations given in any tutorial are also available for download. Just open the respective tutorial page and look into the timetable.
A set of training material used in past tutorials are also available on the NA2 Wiki page: http://grid.ct.infn.it/twiki/bin/view/EELA2/TrainingOnGLite.
